ACCOMMODATIONS
This is a view looking down a row of cabins at the top of Mt. LeConte. Altogether there are 7 small, snug cabins and three group lodges.
We stay in the three bedroom lodge. This is the view from our porch overlooking the dining room.
The cozy cabins are furnished with upper and lower double bunk beds. At days end, you get tohunker down under soft, fleecy virgin wool blankets to seal out the nip of the mountain air.
Our three bedroom lodge also has a main adjoining room which is a great place forstoring your gear and visiting with your neighbors and sharing tales of your hike.
Two meals are prepared in the "kettles of the gods" and served to overnight guests. Dinner at 5:00and breakfast at 8am sharp. No one is ever late for meals!
The mellow glow of kerosene lamps lights your accomodations and cabins are warmed by kerosene heaters.
